Our Story

Nearly eight in ten young Afghan women are excluded from education.

AWLEO was founded to change that. We build patient, practical programs that meet women and girls where they are — online, in community, and across borders — and walk with them from first lesson to lasting livelihood.

Our Vision

A world where every Afghan woman can learn, lead, and thrive.

Our Mission

To educate, empower, and elevate through learning, skills, and support.

Our Values

Dignity, patience, partnership, and unwavering hope.

Our Approach

Community-led programs, honest measurement, and lifelong support.

What we do

Programs that change
trajectories

From first literacy lessons to career-defining scholarships, our programs are
designed for real lives and long-term impact.

Online Education

Remote learning that reaches women and girls wherever they are.

Digital Literacy

From first keystrokes to fluent digital work — practical, patient training.

Career Skills

Language, technology, and entrepreneurship for real economic independence.

Women Empowerment

In many Afghan communities, traditional rug weaving has been passed from one generation of women to the next. For some families, these skills represent not only cultural heritage but also an important source of income.

Women's Leadership

Mentorship and workshops that grow the next generation of leaders.

Community Development

Long-term partnerships that strengthen underserved communities.

Scholarships

Removing the financial barriers between talent and opportunity.

Our Impact

Real change, measured in
lives.

Behind every number is a woman, a family, a community carrying new
momentum forward.
